Coomera is located 54km south-east of Brisbane's Central Business District (CBD). Its local government area is the Gold Coast City. Coomera has long been earmarked as a new satellite growth suburb.

Coomera’s residents are close to magnificent beaches on the coast. The Brisbane CBD is easily accessible via train from the Coomera Rail Station or car via the M1. Helensvale Shopping Centre is nearby and an approved $1billion development of the Coomera Town Centre is set to include a Westfield shopping centre, restaurants, commercial offices, recreation and sporting facilities.
Coomera is also home to the big name theme parks such as Dreamworld, White Water World, Wet’n’Wild, Warner Bros. Movie World and the Australian Outback Spectacular.

Coomera is 24km from Surfers Paradise and 54km from the Brisbane CBD. Coomera has long been earmarked as a new satellite growth suburb offering a range of employment and residential opportunities.
The local area includes Australia's biggest and most popular theme park (Dreamworld) and there are plans for a TAFE, a university campus and Queensland's largest shopping centre around the existing station. Approval of the $1billion Coomera Town Centre will be a key driver of growth going forward.
Education options in the area include Griffith University, Southern Cross University, Bond University, Central Queensland University and TAFE Queensland Gold Coast.
A number of health, medical and wellbeing options include Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital.
