Caboolture is a satellite city located 44km north of Brisbane’s Central Business District (CBD). Its local government area is the Moreton Bay Region. Noted as the northernmost urban area of the greater Brisbane metropolitan region within South East Queensland, Caboolture also marks the end of the Brisbane suburban commuter railway service along the North Coast railway line.

Roads & Public transport

 

 

Bus

The area is serviced by two bus companies, Caboolture Bus Lines and the larger Kangaroo Bus Lines.

 

Tram

 

Train

Serviced by TransLink, Caboolture Station (Caboolture Line & North Coast Line) Caboolture railway station is the terminus for QR Citytrain's Caboolture railway line, as well as being a major stop on the North Coast railway line.

Citytrain operates regular services to Brisbane, in addition to inter-urban services to Nambour and Gympie. Significant expansion of services north of Caboolture is planned over the next decade.

 

Roads

The area is well connected by roads, including connections across the Great Dividing Range via the D'Aguilar Highway, easy highway access to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast via the Bruce Highway. Bribie Island Road to Bribie Island is also a key route for road traffic.

Employment Centres

 

With the suburb identified as one of the State’s largest growth centres, businesses have been quick to capitalise on this area’s growth with homemaker centres, mega hardware stores and shopping centres taking up prime locations in Caboolture’s outer-suburbs.

Employment centres include Caboolture CBD, North Lakes, Brisbane CBD and Sunshine Coast CBD.

Caboolture also includes a number of education options including Caboolture State and High Schools near the CBD, Minimbah State School, Caboolture State High School, Morayfield State High School, St Columban's College and TAFE Queensland Caboolture.

Health, wellbeing and medical amenities in the area include Caboolture Private Hospital and many other specialist medical services.
