Brookwater is located 30km south-west of Brisbane’s Central Business District (CBD). Its local government area is the City of Ipswich. Brookwater is a premium golf community including a Greg Norman designed championship golf course. The suburb is part of part of the Greater Springfield Development.

Employment Centres
The suburb of Brookwater is located 30km south-west of the Brisbane CBD. Brookwater is within the Greater Springfield region and within close proximity to the Springfield CBD. The CBD is a significant employment precinct serving the Greater Springfield and surrounding regions. It comprises a mix of uses including the Orion Shopping Centre, medical precinct, Education City precinct and an office precinct.
In addition, a $210 million expansion of the Orion Shopping Centre is planned and a $78 million development of the Queensland Head Office for GE Australia, which is expected to house up to 1200 employees upon completion.
